Naturally you want to know a bit about my story. I'm now focusing on writing on my 11th book, The Brotherhood of the Flying Coffin, about the volunteer combat glider pilots of World War II. Volunteers with no motors, no guns, and no shortage of guts.
In December 2020, I retired after 17 years as the founding marketing director of the USS Midway Museum, the most-visited naval ship museum in the world...and have rejoined its board of directors.
Prior to my "tour of duty" aboard Midway, I was a partner in two of San Diego's largest marketing communication agencies. I have an Accreditation in Public Relations, was accepted into the prestigious PRSA Counselors Academy, and my public relations work has been featured in a college textbook. I have a political science degree from Arizona State University, after studying international relations at Uppsala (Sweden) University.
Most importantly, my wife, son and daughter-in-law inspire me every day. For them I write to preserve the legacy of those who have made our family's life in America possible.
